DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) Sponsorship Levels
Since 1877 spcaLA has been caring for animals thanks to the generosity of individual donors, corporations and foundations. Responding to the needs of animals and people who love them during a disaster is one of the many services spcaLA provides to the community. The DART trained staff removes animals from danger, provides them with food and medical aid and temporarily houses them while their families evacuate or in some cases were not permitted to return home to save them. Frequently seen at fires and earthquake areas DART was called to assist in both the hurricane Katrina and Rita ravaged zones where many pets were left behind.
