Thank you for your interest in spcaLA’s Friends for Life Summer Camp!
This past summer, camp celebrated a very successful 6th year in operation. 320 campers between the ages of 8 and 13 attended eight week-long sessions throughout the summer, learning basic care of and responsibility for pets, respect for animals and the beginnings of dog training—all while having fun with friends! Younger children (8-10) participated in animal-related games, activities and crafts. They also learned the basics of dog handling, dog training, and much more. Older campers (11-13) also participated in animal-related crafts and activities, watched a surgery, viewed dog training demos and practiced obedience and agility training with shelter dogs.
Thank you to all of last year’s attendees and parents! You helped make spcaLA’s Friends for Life Summer Camp a huge success and also helped 14 camp shelter dogs find new, loving homes!
