Professional Training Courses

APS badge

spcaLA’s Animal Protection Services (APS) offers a series of training courses for Humane Societies, Animal Control, and Law Enforcement agencies. APS training courses are intended for professionals only, not the general public.*

Approved by the California State Humane Association, spcaLA courses may be used toward Humane Officer credentials. While our courses are geared toward entry-level positions and field officers, veterans and supervisors are encouraged to attend to update their training and review new laws.

Courses include realistic scenarios and role playing; animal handling with various species that may be encountered in the field; and hands-on training. Highly qualified instructors include veteran field officers, peace officers, veterinarians and attorneys. Course fees include certificate of completion. Contact spcaLA at info@spcaLA.com for more information. Courses include all necessary materials.
