Web/Graphic Designer
Job Announcement
Primary Function: Responsible for article graphics including web postings along with developing logos, brochures, advertisements, designing collateral material and promotional items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the graphic design and layout of all spcaLA materials while maintaining and promoting key branding and imaging elements of spcaLA.
- Design print and online materials including: magazines, brochures, postcards, signage, banners, Internet advertising, print advertising, newsletters, and emails.
- Responsible for the production of all spcaLA print materials.
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals and purchase marketing components. Provide costs and delivery information. Monitor marketing supply inventory.
- Responsible for website maintenance through the design of new pages and updating pages on current site.
- Provide key recommendations and strategy for the Web as it relates to the agency’s marketing goals and initiatives.
- Develop promotional ideas and advertising campaigns.
- Process invoices and ensure proper billing.
- Develop advertising campaigns, brand communications, and promotional themes and visuals with the Manager of Communications and Marketing.
- Work with Manager of Communications and Marketing to develop new design projects as needed by the agency.
- Ability to brainstorm new ideas individually or in a group.
Job Related and Essential Qualifications
- Must have strong sense of concept development, layout composition, color theory and typography with attention to detail as well as applicable knowledge of design principles and web production.
- Ability to complete tasks and projects within deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast-paced work environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Highly motivated team-player.
- Ability to work productively in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently, and to be flexible and responsive.
- Flexibility to adapt to differing support needs created by varying work styles.
- Show maturity and good judgment; perform the job in a professional manner and work efficiently under pressure.
Experience/Skills Needed
- 1-2 years web design/graphic design experience
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, InDesign. Knowledgeable in iMovie, HTML.
- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well organized, detail oriented, responsible.
- Must be a team player and enjoy problem solving.

Salary Range: $32-35,000 a year. This is a full-time position with benefits.
