spcaLA offers a range of special classes for dogs and their companions. All classes are held at spcaLA's P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center in Long Beach.

Classes are not held on most major holidays. Please ask your instructor for details.
Classes are subject to change. Please note that certain classes require a prerequisite class or training. All dogs must be in good general health and current on vaccinations. Don’t see a start date for a class you are interested in taking? Email training@spcaLA.com to be placed on the waiting list.
spcaLA only uses positive training methods and training tools. We do not support the use of aversive collars such as prong, modified prong, pinch, choke, or shock collars.
Please note: spcaLA classes are not designed for dogs with serious behavior issues or aggression. Dogs exhibiting these behaviors may be asked to leave without refund. If you have an animal with serious behavior issues, private training is available. Please contact the Animal Behavior & Training Department for more information at (562) 570-4910.
