Do It Yourself projects aren’t just for home improvement! There are lots of ways to help spcaLA while doing things you’d normally do, like Facebooking, throwing a party, selling stuff on eBay and much more!

Be Matching

Matching isn’t just for socks, it works for donations (and sometimes volunteer hours) too! Ask your HR representative and fill out the paperwork—many companies double or even triple donations! Make sure to tell your friends & family to do the same! Use our MatchFinder tool to look up your company.

Be a Joiner

Does your company have an employee giving program, or an employee’s community fund? Join and recommend spcaLA for funding! Some companies make large grants to nonprofits based on their employees recommendations—you’ll never know until you ask!

Be a Problem Solver

Does your company make something? Are you involved with purchasing (soda, office supplies, paint, anything!)? You could use your influence to help spcaLA! We are in need of all kinds of donated items—from shelter supplies to office furniture. Email us at info@spcaLA.com for more info.

Raise funds for free and spread the word about upcoming events, animal welfare issues, and more with your friends using Social Vibe! You can even raise money by just surfing the web on Good Search.

Be Festive

Does your company want to give back? Or, maybe you’d like to host your own fundraiser. Designate spcaLA as the beneficiary of your next event! If you’d like to include spcaLA’s logo on your event materials, please download the spcaLA Letter of Intent and return it to info@spcaLA.com with a brief description of your event. An spcaLA representative will contact you and we may even be able to list your event on our site and in our e-newsletter, The Paw’llywood Reporter!

Be Creative

The next time you celebrate a birthday, anniversary, holiday or any other milestone, ask party-goers to bring a cash donation or needed item for spcaLA. Or, make your own fundraising page on First Giving when you run a 5K, decide to lose a few pounds or quit smoking. If you’re planning a wedding, register with the I Do Foundation to let guests give back as they celebrate your union.

Be Nice to the Environment

Recycle cell phones, printer cartridges and more with Cartridges for Kids® and designate spcaLA as your charity of choice. Or, plan a recycling drive at your school, church, or other location and donate the money you raise to spcaLA.

Be a seller

Clean out your closet and sell items on eBay. Use Mission Fish to donate 10% to 100% of the proceeds from your auction to spcaLA! Have a casual day at your company where your employees donate $5 or $10 dollars to wear jeans to work; host a bake sale at your school or church.
