Grooming Policies & Recommendations
Vaccination Requirements
In order to maintain a safe, comfortable environment, we require all pets to be current on their rabies vaccinations and recommend waiting at least 48 hours after shots before coming in for an appointment. The waiting period helps to ensure your pet isn’t sore at the injection site, which can cause irritability or lethargy. Puppies and kittens under the age of 4 months will not be able to receive services in the salon. Please bring proof of rabies vaccination with you on your first visit. A waiver from your vet will not be accepted.
Cancellation | No-show Policy
Please provide a minimum 24-hr cancellation notice. Like any service industry we appreciate ample time to fill your appointment should you be unable to make it. We have limited availability, especially during peak service times such as on the weekends.
Your appointment reserves a space for your pet. We provide courtesy call reminders 24 to 48 hours in advance for your convenience. However, if you are running late, please call us, as your appointment timeslot will only be held for a maximum of 15 minutes.
Depending on groomer availability, if you arrive later than 15 minutes for your scheduled appointment time you may have your appointment rescheduled or your service downgraded. If we are able to accommodate you, you will be charged a late fee of $5.
Please understand that when you are late it affects our ability to provide timely service for other clients that day.
Length of Service/Stay
The type of service requested determines the length of stay. Bathing typically requires no more than 2.5 hours and Haircuts/The WORKS appointments, no more than 3.5 hours. Our policy is to have all pets on their way home within 1 hour of service completion due to limited space and the comfort of the animals. Please let us know in advance should you need special arrangements.
Clients
If your schedule does not allow for pick-up within this timeframe, we reserve the right to charge a $10 an hour holding fee/late pick-up for stays determined to be in excess of 60 minutes. If you pick up your pet after closing time, you will be charged a dollar for every minute you are late.
If you prefer, you may wait while your pet is being groomed. Our clients are free to shop in our retail Pet Marketplace, visit our Pet Adoption Center, take a stroll in the Nature Center or wait in our lobby area while your pet is being groomed. However, for the safety of all pets, we do not allow owners to wait inside our Professional Grooming area.
