Humane Education
The Humane Education department of the spcaLA teaches compassion and respect for all living things through a multitude of programs. These programs aim to establish a sense of responsibility in their participants and foster respect, kindness and empathy towards animals as well as other humans. The department’s teachings communicate the interdependence of all living things and the vital role each person plays in making this world a better, more humane place. Available programs include violence prevention courses (Teaching Love and Compassion), classroom presentations, pet care workshops for Junior Girl Scouts, and a highly successful summer camp. TLC Survey
The TLC program is currently looking for feedback in order to continue improving TLC in future years. We are asking students who have participated in previous TLCs, their parents, and the adopters of TLC dogs to fill out these surveys so that we can evaluate the future direction of the program. If you choose, you can also print the form and mail it to: 12910 Yukon Avenue; Hawthorne, CA 90250. Please feel free to contact us with any other stories or comments regarding your TLC participation or dog adoption at humaneeducation@spcala.com. Thank you!
