BLUE AND WHITE NIGHT FOR spcaLA

LA Landmarks Show Support for spcaLA

Los Angeles - Last night, the Santa Monica Pier's Ferris wheel and Los Angeles International Airport's pylons lit in blue and white to support Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA).

These prominent LA landmarks lit blue and white to raise awareness locally for animal assistance during this economic downturn and to help clarify the misinformation that there is a national umbrella organization connecting all spcas.

"One of the biggest misconceptions is that there is a national spca that distributes money throughout the United States," says spcaLA President, Madeline Bernstein.  "It is important for people to know that the funds they donate to spcaLA stay in Los Angeles.   Community support is critical to the survival of our abused and abandoned animals who depend on the funds staying here in our city."

Much needed donations can be made to spcaLA online at spcala.com or by calling (888) 730-5333.
