spcaLA Pet Adoption Day

Hosted by 95.5 KLOS and Mark and Brian

Los Angeles – For the fourth consecutive year, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is partnering with 95.5 KLOS to host the Mark and Brian Pet Adoption Day at spcaLA's P.D Pitchford Companion Animal Village in Long Beach.  The Pet Adoption Day will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Mark and Brian Pet Adoption Day will feature puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and rabbits looking for forever homes.  Each adoption includes initial vaccinations, spaying or neutering, a free veterinary examination, microchip and a SWAG BAG full of gifts for the new pet.

KLOS will broadcast from the Village and fans can meet and take photos with Mark and Brian (time TBA).   There is a silent auction featuring a Mitchell acoustic guitar signed by George Thorogood; a KISS basket with autographed CD and DVDs; baseline Dodger Tickets; a Mark and Brian In-Studio Meet and Greet and much more!  Have some pet training or veterinarian questions?  Ask professional veterinarians and animal trainers at the spcaLA Ask the Trainer/Ask the Vet booth.  The Mark and Brian Pet Adoption Day is fun for the whole family!

This year marks a new fundraising effort: the Mark and Brian Spay Neuter Fund.  Purchase the 2009 KLOS Pet Adoption Day bandana at the event or online at www.spcaLA.com and money raised goes to fund the spcaLA Specialty Spay/Neuter Center.

Sponsors for the event include Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Food Inc, Wellness, Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI), My Pet Lawyer, Scooble.com and Natura Pet Products.  The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf are providing frozen drink samples and Honest Tea will provide cool beverages for a donation.  spcaLA's P.D Pitchford Companion Animal Village is located at 7700 East Spring St. in  Long Beach.  Parking for the event is located in El Dorado Park, entrance off Spring street.  Shuttles will be provided for transportation from the parking area to the event and back.
