Los Angeles - In celebration of the 81st Academy Awards, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles ( spcaLA ) has teamed up with Durkin Entertainment, Inc. to be the beneficiary of the Main Event Red Carpet Lounge & Green Suite. The event will be held at Studio 944 in West Hollywood.
At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on jewelry and art in a silent auction that benefits spcaLA. Celebrities will autograph items for future online auctions to help raise money for animals in need.
spcaLA is introducing a new fundraising campaign with Red Swan at this event. Red Swan changes unwanted gold jewelry into a cash donation for spcaLA. For each donation received, Red Swan will make a match donation. Red Swan's Safe-Pak boxes will be available in the "exit bags" and at the spcaLA table at the event.
Last year celebrities in attendance included Jerry O'Connell, Dyan Cannon, William Shatner and Jane Lynch.
