spcaLA CELEBRATES SPAY DAY USA FEBRUARY 24

Free Microchip with Spay/Neuter Service

Los Angeles - Tuesday February 24th is Spay Day USA!  Help Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) mark the day by bringing your pets to be spayed or neutered at spcaLA's Specialty Spay/Neuter Center located at 5026 W. Jefferson Blvd. 90016.
To celebrate Spay Day USA, spcaLA is offering a free microchip with spay/neuter service at the Specialty Spay Neuter Center.  The Center will have refreshments and an "Ask The Vet Session" with spcaLA veterinarian, Dr. Lisa Harris from 1:00pm-5:30pm for anyone who has scheduled an appointment for service.  Appointments are mandatory.  If your pets are already fixed, sponsor the pets of a friend or relative.
By marking February 24 th as Spay Day USA, animal welfare organizations across America are raising awareness about the importance of spaying/neutering to help combat animal overpopulation which leads to unwanted pets.  In Los Angeles County alone, an estimated 75,000 animals are euthanized annually.  This number can be drastically reduced if responsible owners make sure their pets are spayed or neutered.
"Spay Day USA is the perfect time for pet owners to take action to spay or neuter their pets.  If they have questions or concerns, spcaLA has information on-line at www.spcaLA.com or they can speak with our knowledgeable staff at the spcaLA Specialty Spay Neuter Center," says Madeline Bernstein President spcaLA.  "Besides combating pet overpopulation, pets who are spayed or neutered live longer, healthier lives."
