Los Angeles - Looking for true love? Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles ( spcaLA ) invites you to Find Your Sweetheart at spcaLA! The pets available for adoption can offer plenty of wet kisses and affection this Valentine's Day.
spcaLA's adoption fees include microchip, vaccinations, and spay/neuter. If you open your heart to an "Underdog" (a senior pet or a pet who has been our guest for three months) spcaLA will help you seal the deal by reducing adoption fees. spcaLA also urges you to keep your pet safe with these sweet tips:
• Chocolate is food for lovers but very toxic for dogs, so keep chocolate away from pets. Contact your vet immediately if your pet ingests any chocolate treats.
• Flowers and certain plants can be harmful or deadly to your pets. Keep your beautiful floral arrangements as well as "freshness packs" out of your pet's reach.
• Dinner by candlelight is tres magnifique, but dancing flames are intriguing to dogs and cats. Whiskers can get singed and hot wax can burn, so keep candles away from curious pets.
