HELP HOMELESS PETS JUST BY GIVING ME A USELESS VAGINA

spcaLA Kicks Off Ad Campaign to Welcome Specialty Spay/Neuter Center

Los Angeles - Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is thrilled to announce the opening of the Specialty Spay/Neuter Center owned and operated by spcaLA This Spay/Neuter Center is especially unique because profits directly benefit spcaLA, thus increasing its ability to help homeless animals.

To inform the public that spcaLA's Specialty Spay/Neuter Center is open for business, spcaLA has launched a cheeky and thought-provoking bus and billboard ad campaign.   Look for a macho Chihuahua proclaiming, "If you're making me sterile, at least give the money to CHARITY" and a demure pussy cat stating, "I helped less fortunate animals and all I gave up was SEX."

spcaLA's racier slogans, not appropriate for outdoor advertising, such as "Help fight the homeless pet problem just by taking my TESTICLES" and "Help homeless pets just by giving me a useless VAGINA" will be a part of a large print and electronic campaign.  Though some find the advertisements controversial, spcaLA's spay/neuter campaign is designed to create a buzz and direct attention to the urgent pet overpopulation problem in Los Angeles County where an estimated 75,000 animals are euthanized annually.

spcaLA Specialty Spay/Neuter Center offers reliable spay/neuter services at affordable prices with unparalleled expertise.  Microchipping, deworming and vaccinations are also available at the time of surgery or appointments can be made Mon-Thur 1-3pm for these services only.

"We really wanted a provocative ad campaign to launch the Spay/Neuter Center and bring focus on the pet overpopulation crisis, which could be abated by spaying and neutering," says spcaLA President, Madeline Bernstein.  "We're pleased that advertising design company Fourth Wall stepped in and donated the creative.  They really hit the mark with the ad campaign.  The use of words like SEX and TESTICLES in bold lettering really grabs the eye and makes you do a double-take."

Important facts about spaying/neutering:

•  Spaying/neutering combats overpopulation which eliminates unwanted or abandoned pets.

•  Spayed/neutered pets lead longer, healthier lives and exhibit fewer behavioral problems.

•  Spaying and neutering allows animal welfare organizations like spcaLA to more effectively utilize resources.

•  Spaying/neutering is the law in the City of Los Angeles (with a few exceptions).

Los Angeles Animal Care Services offers a $30 discount voucher to Los Angeles city households to defray the cost of spay/neuter.  The Specialty Spay/Neuter Center gladly accepts these coupons.    The Center also offers financial assistance for canine spay/neuter to those who qualify, while funding lasts.
