i Love Dogs Inc. and Hotel Maya Host Mixer and Benefit for spcaLA

» February 26, 2010

Los Angeles CA—i Love Dogs, Inc.* and Hotel Maya are hosting a “TweetUp,” a mixer on the Luna Solstice Patio at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach for an evening of great food, drinks, and networking while benefiting the shelter dogs of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Los Angeles (spcaLA). The TweetUp is Thursday, March 4 th from 6pm–9pm at 700 Queensway Drive, Long Beach. Dogs are welcome.

The TweetUp is an opportunity to meet, mix and mingle while enjoying a complimentary welcome sangria toast, happy hour pricing on food and drinks, silent auction, prize drawing and gift bags for all attendees. Everyone is invited to help support spcaLA by bringing a bag of dog food to the TweetUp.

Due to the generosity of DOGSWELL® and Animal Care Center of Huntington Beach, one bag of food is going thrice as far! DOGSWELL® and Animal Care Center of Huntington Beach have agreed to match dog food donations collected at the event, pound for pound. A donation of ONE bag of food turns into THREE!

Leashed dogs are welcome at the TweetUp. The Luna Solstice Patio at Hotel Maya is a lovely outdoor patio overlooking Rainbow Harbor with heated lamps, grassy areas for potty breaks, and several dog-friendly adjoining areas in case anyone needs a ‘time-out.’

The prize drawing and silent auction items are generously donated by Hotel Maya, Fuego Restaurant, i Love Dogs, Inc., Simple Green, Chewsy Dog, and author Nadine M. Rosin. 100% of the proceeds from the drawing and auction benefits spcaLA’s abandoned and abused animals.

spcaLA is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. There is no national SPCA, parent organization, or umbrella group that provides financial support to spcaLA. Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigation, Disaster Animal Response Team, Humane Education, and a variety of shelter services.
