spcaLA is partnering with Actors and Others for Animals to offer free spay surgeries for female cats in February 2012 as part of World Spay Day. “SPAY IS FOR GIRLS” is specifically for pet cats of low-income guardians, limit two per household, while funding lasts. Interested parties should contact Actors and Other for Animals at 818-755-6045 and inquire about the “SPAY IS FOR GIRLS” program.

All tame cats must be brought in a carrier and all dogs on a leash. spcaLA has cardboard carriers for $5 plus tax and leashes for $1 plus tax available for purchase.
