spcaLA Spay/Neuter Center
Sponsorship Opportunities
Every year, nearly 75,000 pets are put to sleep in Los Angeles County. Not because they are vicious or sick, but because there are just not enough homes for them. Pet owners who do not spay or neuter their dogs and cats have sent Los Angeles into a pet overpopulation crisis. Unwanted litters; pets who’ve strayed looking to mate; and pets who’ve succumbed to preventable diseases and injuries tax limited resources and make less room for truly homeless animals.
The spcaLA Spay/Neuter Center is set to ease the pet overpopulation crisis by addressing the issue at its source. But, the success of the Center rests in your hands. While all gifts are welcome, the following areas represent the greatest needs for the Center.
-
Financial Aid for Low-Income Clients
Over 12% of Los Angeles County families live below the poverty level—that means over one million Los Angeles County families are living on $22,050 or less a year. For families with pets, even our affordable rates may present an obstacle. A donation of $150,000 would establish a financial aid fund, and provide spay/neuter services to low-income clients for one full year.
-
Community Outreach
Knowledge is key to easing the pet overpopulation crisis. spcaLA reaches out to our community through local events, conferences, mailings, advertising and much more. A donation of $100,000 would allow us to educate the public en mass about the importance of spay and neuter and the availability of services.
For more information, or to discuss naming opportunities associated with different donor levels, please contact Miriam Davenport at (323) 730-5300, ext 233 or mdavenport@spcaLA.com.
