PAWS to Read provides a non-threatening place where children can read for the fun of it. There is no risk of being embarrassed by mispronounced words, slow reading skills or lack of comprehension skills when reading to a therapy dog!

Students participating in PAWS to Read gain self confidence and develop pride in their accomplishments. They find reading more fun, and feel more comfortable volunteering to read aloud at school.

The program is free and open to the public. Sign-ups begin at 9am on the day of the program at the Children’s Information Desk. Space is limited.
