Claiming your pet from spcaLA

• Present a valid government-issued ID/driver’s license.
• Present proof of ownership such as license number, rabies certificate, photographs, or adoption papers.
• You may be required to renew expired licenses or rabies certificates. Pet licenses must be renewed within city of residence. By law, all pets must have a rabies vaccine prior to leaving the shelter. You must present proof of rabies vaccine or spcaLA will administer it.
• You may have to pay impound and boarding fees. There is an additional charge for pets that are not spayed or neutered.
