spcaLA houses stray animals found in the cities of Lawndale, El Segundo, West Hollywood, Culver City and Manhattan Beach at the South Bay Pet Adoption Center. If you have lost your pet in a different area, please click here to view a listing of other animal shelters and agencies.
Claiming your pet from spcaLA
- Present a valid government-issued ID/driver’s license.
- Present proof of ownership such as license number, rabies certificate, photographs, or adoption papers.
- You may be required to renew expired licenses or rabies certificates. Pet licenses must be renewed within city of residence. By law, all pets must have a rabies vaccine prior to leaving the shelter. You must present proof of rabies vaccine or spcaLA will administer it.
- You may have to pay impound and boarding fees. There is an additional charge for pets that are not spayed or neutered.
