Robbi started doing agility over 20 years ago and was hooked immediately. She handled a deaf border collie back when people said deaf dogs could not successfully compete. Pooka not only competed, she because the first deaf dog in the country to earn an elite NADAC agility title. Today, Robbi competes with two border collies, Garnet, and Sapphire who is also deaf.
Robbi does not believe in “cookie cutter” training but rather in reading the dog’s strengths and weaknesses so she can tailor the training to the dog’s needs. She believes the most important part of agility is for the dog and handler to have fun while executing the obstacles correctly and safely.
