Work to prevent animal cruelty and interpersonal violence – become the Director of Violence Prevention for spcaLA.

As the Director of Violence Prevention for Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA), you will lead a team who work to break interpersonal and systemic cycles of violence.

As our Director of Violence Prevention, you will:

  • Corroborate, support, and expand, the growing understanding of the positive and transformative impact human animal interactions have on system-involved youth;
  • Offer, expand, and manage violence intervention and support services for adults and families impacted by intimate partner violence;
  • Engage youth and children in animal welfare education and social-emotional learning, while encouraging youth advocacy for animals, others, and themselves.

Essential qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; 5+ experience working with underserved, trauma-impacted, and/or system-involved youth and families; 3+ years’ experience in a management role; Spanish-language proficiency preferred.
