spcaLA Pet Adoption Day presented by 95.5 KLOS, VCA Animal Hospitals & Timmons Subaru

$20 pet adoption fees, giveaways, and more

Los Angeles, CA — For the 17th year, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) will host Pet Adoption Day at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village Education Center in Long Beach!  This year, Pet Adoption Day is presented by spcaLA’s longtime partner, 95.5 KLOS, VCA Animal Hospitals, and Timmons Subaru. Pet Adoption Day is Saturday, June 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m and features $20 pet adoption fees, giveaways, prize drawings, and Lucy Pet’s Gnarly Crankin’ K-9 Wave Maker. Sponsors include Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies, Lucy Pet Products, Just Food For Dogs, and Farmers Insurance.

Pet Adoption Day June 10, 2023
Adopt a pet Saturday, June 10th!

Hundreds of adorable puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and rabbits will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis. Each adoption includes age/species appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, a free veterinary examination, microchip, and an adopter gift bag filled with free items for new pet parents.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the vendor booths and food trucks for giveaways, prize drawings, delicious treats, and more. Well-behaved, owned and leashed dogs are welcome in the vendor booth area. If you wish to view adoptable pets, a valet is available to watch your dog. Dogs must be current on Rabies & DHPP (or equivalent). Please leave cats and other pets at home.

The 95.5 KLOS Cool Patrol will keep the party rockin’ all afternoon long and fans can meet Heidi from the Heidi & Frank Morning Show and other KLOS on-air personalities.

For the first time, spcaLA will host Lucy Pet’s Gnarly Crankin’ K-9 Wave Maker. Watch Lucy Pet’s mascot dogs ride the waves or see if your dog can join the fun (animal trainer assessment completed on-site).

Additional vendors and sponsors include Redbarn Pet Products, Southland Credit Union, Trupanion, Farm Fresh to You, Long Beach Community Garden, Champion Pet Food, parent company of Orijen and Acana, and Costco Lakewood. Kona Ice, Lupita’s Tacos, and The Berlin Truck food trucks will be on-site.

spcaLA’s P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village is located at 7700 East Spring St. in Long Beach. Parking for the event is free and is located in El Dorado Park — entrance off Spring Street. Additional fees may apply) and will be honored at all spcaLA adoption centers (Saturday June 10th only).
