Los Angeles, CA — Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is proud to host the 19th Annual Pet Adoption Day at spcaLA PD Pitchford Companion Animal Village in Long Beach on Saturday, June 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pet Adoption Day is presented by 95.5 KLOS and Dignity Health. Fees for qualified adopters are waived thanks to VCA Animal Hospitals.

Adopt a pet Saturday, June 21st!

“After almost 20 years of Pet Adoption Day, this event marks the beginning of summer,” said Madeline Bernstein, President spcaLA. “If adding a new family member is in your plans – we are here for you! Or if you have pets, come pick-up some giveaways or get pet tips from professionals.”

Visit the Vendor Village for giveaways and prize drawings, speak to a veterinarian about pet health at the VCA Animal Hospitals’ booth, or Ask-a-Trainer for pet advice at the spcaLA booth. Additional vendors and sponsors include Farmers Insurance Susana Rios Ins. Agency, Champion Pet Foods, Southland Credit Union, Dave’s Pet Food, Fur Babes Spa, and Trupanion, among others.

Well-behaved and leashed companion dogs are welcome in the Vendor Village. If you wish to view adoptable pets, a pet valet is available. Dogs must be current on Rabies & DHPP (or equivalent). Please leave cats and other pets at home.

95.5 KLOS Cool Patrol brings the party with music, games, and photo ops with Heidi from the Heidi & Frank Morning Show and KLOS on-air personalities, Greg Beharell and Stew.

spcaLA’s P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village is located at 7700 East Spring St. in Long Beach. Parking for the event is free and is located in El Dorado Park — entrance off Spring Street.
