Affordable puppy training classes enrolling now at spcaLA
Los Angeles, CA– Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is excited to kick-off the New Year with affordable puppy training classes starting in January 2026. Designed to help pet parents build strong foundations for happy, well-behaved dogs, Puppy Kindergarten focuses on positive reinforcement techniques and essential skills for puppies ages 3 to 6 months old.
Adopting a puppy is a thrilling time. Many new pet parents remember to invest in good quality food, purchase collars, leashes, and toys, but forget one of the most important things: training. Behavior issues are one of the top three reasons that dogs end up in shelters.
“Starting training early is one of the best gifts you can give your puppy,” said Madeline Bernstein, President spcaLA. “Early training sets the stage for a lifetime of good behavior and strengthens the bond between you and your pup.”
Puppy Kindergarten Class Highlights:
- Foundation of obedience
- Appropriate play
- Preventing unwanted behaviors (mouthing, jumping)
- Enrichment and socialization
spcaLA Training Classes are small — between 4-6 students and focus on positive training techniques. Puppy Kindergarten meets weekly, for 5 weeks. Two sessions are enrolling now and begin on January 8th. The cost is $160 per puppy student.
Year round, spcaLA offers classes for dogs of all ages including obedience, agility, scent detection, parkour, rally, and a variety of specialty classes. One of spcaLA’s most popular classes, Pooches That Pull, begins January 8th. Pooches That Pull aims to curtail pulling while on leash, making walks easier and more enjoyable for humans and dogs.
