spcaLA now offers spring camp

Friends for Life Spring Camp teaches campers the fundamentals of pet care, animal responsibility, and respect for all living creatures — all while building friendships and having fun.

Campers, known as “Bulldogs,” participate in animal‑related crafts, games emphasizing teamwork, and hands-on learning with shelter pets. Activities and experiences give campers a better understanding of animal behavior and the work of spcaLA.

“Friends for Life Spring Camp offers young people a unique and meaningful opportunity to learn compassion and responsibility through direct interaction with shelter animals and their peers,” said Amber Vera Mendoza MSW, Director of spcaLA Violence Prevention Humane Education. “We’re proud to provide a program that inspires the next generation of animal advocates.”
