spcaLA volunteers and staff provide shelter pets like Kuma enrichment and socialization through spcaLA’s HEAL Program. In the program, dogs also work on basic obedience and manners. To learn more, visit Kuma at the the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center.

All cats, dogs, and rabbits will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before they go home. Shelter pets' breeds and ages are characterizations based on appearance, and are not meant to indicate or guarantee lifespan, temperament, disposition, lineage or actual breed. Pet profiles provide a very basic description of animals while in the shelter and may not contain all known medical and behavioral information about the pet.
