FREE Webinar: Training & Socializing Dogs During the Pandemic!
December 2 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Is your dog overexcited and reacting to things they weren’t reacting to previously? Has your dog become destructive or are they barking excessively? These new or worsening behaviors could be due to reduced exposure to normal things in the environment and lack of sufficient opportunities for puppies and adult dogs to socialize properly to the environment, people and other dogs. These behaviors can also be exacerbated by overstimulation due to overcrowding on walks and at dog parks or a change in routine.
The FREE Webinar, Training & Socializing Dogs During the Pandemic! addresses the challenges of the pandemic restrictions for dog parents and provides specialist advice on several topics including; how to manage reactive behavior, walking your dog safely and maintaining social distancing and, how to provide in-home enrichment to reduce stress, boredom and overstimulation in the home environment. Also discussed will be how to recognize canine body language for interactions between children and dogs, between strangers and dogs and, for dog-to-dog interactions at the dog park.
This course is taught by Sara Taylor, CABI CPDT-KA, spcaLA’s Director of Animal Behavior & Training.
