Pet Adoption Day Photo Contest

This June, spcaLA is presenting the 20th Annual Pet Adoption Day on Saturday, June 27th. To celebrate, we are hosting a Pet Photo Contest and inviting ALL past adopters to enter! Joining the contest is easy – just upload your pet’s photo here and encourage friends and family to vote for your pet. A portion of each $1 vote is donated directly to the shelter pets of spcaLA.
The picture with the overall highest number of votes will be spcaLA’s 2026 Friend for Life, and spcaLA will use the winning picture as our social media icon (Facebook & Instagram) during the month of July!
The highest number of votes in each category (dog, cat, pocket pet) will be acknowledged on our events page, social media (Facebook & Instagram), and will receive a custom digital pet portrait from one of spcaLA’s generous shopping partners, artist Ruth Akemi! All participants will be listed on our events page and receive a downloadable participation certificate.
Local prize winners have the option to pick-up their prize at Pet Adoption Day on June 27th and receive a BONUS goodie bag!
*Prize baskets are available for pick-up at our Los Angeles, Hawthorne, or Long Beach locations only. Sorry, we cannot ship.
