Los Angeles, CA — For the 18th year, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) will host Pet Adoption Day at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village Education Center in Long Beach!  This year, Pet Adoption Day is presented by spcaLA’s longtime partner, 95.5 KLOS, VCA Animal Hospitals, and the Port of Long Beach. Pet Adoption Day is Saturday, June 22nd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pet Adoption fees are waived thanks to sponsor VCA Animal Hospitals.  Additional sponsors include Champion Pet Foods, Farmers Insurance, Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies, and Just Food For Dogs.

Adopt a pet Saturday, June 22nd!

Hundreds of adorable puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and rabbits will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis. Each adoption includes age/species appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, a free veterinary examination, microchip, and an adopter gift bag filled with free items for new pet parents.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the vendor booths for giveaways, prize drawings, and more. Well-behaved, owned and leashed dogs are welcome in the vendor booth area. If you wish to view adoptable pets, a pet valet is available. Dogs must be current on Rabies & DHPP (or equivalent). Please leave cats and other pets at home.

The 95.5 KLOS Cool Patrol will keep the party rockin’ all afternoon long and fans can meet Heidi and Jordan from the Heidi & Frank Morning Show and KLOS on-air personality, Greg Beharell.

spcaLA’s P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village is located at 7700 East Spring St. in Long Beach. Parking for the event is free and is located in El Dorado Park — entrance off Spring Street.
