Bo, before and after

In September of 2021, Culver City Animal Control brought Bo to spcaLA. Bo, a tan, large breed male dog was severely malnourished and weighed only 31 pounds upon intake. Shelter staff, alarmed by his neglected state, were unable to locate his owner. spcaLA veterinary staff provided medical care for Bo, including a safe nourishment plan. Bo now weighs 60 pounds, a healthy weight for a dog his size and build.

Along with medical care, Bo has received enrichment and training while at the shelter. He has learned sit, down, and hand targeting, and is working on place training. He would do best with a moderately experienced owner as the only pet in the home.

Anyone interested in adopting Bo, may go to spcaLA.com/adopt to begin the adoption process.
