Pick Your Price Pet Adoption Fees August 1st – September 30th
Los Angeles, CA — Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is offering Pick Your Price pet adoption fees until the end of summer. The adoption promotion hopes to alleviate the agency’s shelter population by encouraging pet adoption. Pick Your Price is for qualified adopters, exclusions may apply.
Like all shelters in Los Angeles, spcaLA has seen a rise in their shelter population over the last few months. While there is a steady stream of adoptions, there is also an endless flow of pets coming into the shelter. Some of the most common reasons are unclaimed lost/stray animals, loss of housing and income, or unwanted litters due to scarcity of spay/neuter services.
“Our goal is to provide the best environment for animals while they are at spcaLA, but nothing beats a permanent, loving home,” said Madeline Bernstein, spcaLA President. “We’re hoping reducing adoption fees until the end of summer will bring in new adopters.”
All potential adopters must meet spcaLA adoption requirements. Pick Your Price requires a minimum of $10.00, in whole dollar amounts, and excludes dogs 3 months or younger. Pick Your Price starts August 1st and ends September 30th at spcaLA Adoption Centers. Visit spcaLA.com/adopt to view adoptable pets.
