Find a Pet that Rocks June 6th at spcaLA’s Pet Adoption Day

Los Angeles, CA – It is Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles’ (spcaLA) biggest Pet Adoption Day of the year presented by 95.5 KLOS and TalkRadio 790 KABC. The all day adoption event is Saturday, June 6th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center (in El Dorado Park), 7700 E. Spring St., in Long Beach. Sponsors include Lazy Acres Long Beach, VCA Animal Hospitals, Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies, Just Food for Dogs, and Mobile Relay Associates.


Hundreds of adorable puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and rabbits will be available for adoption. Each adoption includes initial vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, a free veterinary examination, microchip and an adopter’s gift bag.

The 95.5 KLOS Cool Patrol will keep the party going with cool classic rock tunes all afternoon long and fans can meet KLOS’ morning DJ team, Heidi & Frank, as well as TalkRadio 790 KABC the Drive Home’s Jillian Barberie and John Phillips, and Los Angeles Kings Alumni Daryl Evans. Visitors to the Village will also enjoy:

ADOPTION SPECIAL – Take home a feline buddy for free when you adopt a dog or cat.
ASK THE spcaLA TRAINER – a qualified spcaLA trainer will be available with tips about animal behavior, and how to train your new pet.
ASK THE VCA VET – VCA Animal Hospitals vets will be at the event to answer questions about pet care.
FOOD TRUCKS — Munch on delicious food from What the Funnel and The Lobos Truck.

spcaLA’s P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village is located at 7700 East Spring St. in Long Beach. Parking for the event is free and is located in El Dorado Park — entrance off Spring Street.
