Los Angeles, CA — Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is pleased to to announce that registration for Friends for Life Summer Camp™ begins on Monday, March 30th at 12:00pm.

Friends for Life Camp is a summertime staple!
Friends for Life Summer Camp is a fun and educational daycamp where campers learn compassion, responsibility, and respect for animals. Through hands-on activities, games, and crafts, campers explore proper pet care, the basics of dog training, and build meaningful connections with both shelter pets and fellow campers.
Camp takes place at the spcaLA PD Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center in Long Beach. There are seven, one-week sessions available. Each session is broken into two age groups: Beagles 10 to 12-years-old and Boxers 13 to 15-years-old. The cost is to attend is $400.
Established in 2004, Friends for Life Camp has made a lasting impact both within the shelter and throughout the community. Campers gain meaningful knowledge about animal care while helping provide socialization and basic training to dozens of shelter dogs each summer. Campers learn valuable lessons about animal care while providing enrichment and basic training to dozens of shelter dogs each summer. Dogs who complete summer camp are typically adopted quickly and are well-socialized.
