Grand Opening of New spcaLA Pet Adoption Center

Los Angeles, CA – Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles
(spcaLA) is opening a new pet adoption center located inside the PetSmart in Pico
Rivera at 8852 Washington Blvd., this Saturday, January 10th.
Located inside PetSmart, the Everyday Adoption Center is operated and staffed by
spcaLA and the pets that are available for adoption come from spcaLA shelters. This
model is used successfully throughout the United States but this is the first PetSmart
Charities Everyday Adoption Center in California.
“spcaLA is thrilled to be partnering with PetSmart Charities. The response from the
community has been very positive and supportive – they are as excited as we are!” said
spcaLA President, Madeline Bernstein. “When corporate and nonprofit entities work
together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish for abandoned and abused
animals.”
Schedule of Events, January 10th:
10:30am – Ribbon cutting ceremony in partnership with the City of Pico Rivera.
11am-1pm – Giveaways, prize drawings, face painting and more.
