Portion of Book Sale Proceeds to Benefit spcaLA
Los Angeles, CA –Boujee Bulldogs proudly announces the launch of Here Comes Polly, a heartwarming children’s picture book inspired by a real-life French bulldog and her journey toward her new home. A preview event will be held Sunday, November 9, from 8am to 2pm at Alfred Coffee Melrose Place (8428 Melrose Place, Los Angeles, CA 90069). Books will be available for purchase and guests who purchase an advanced copy of Here Comes Polly at the event will receive a free Drink from Alfred (valid for the first 150 guests). The book will be available for online sale beginning late November.
The book is inspired by real events, real dogs, and real places like Alfred Coffee. Boujee Bulldogs collaborated with Alfred Coffee to bring a character, named Alfred, to life in Polly’s story. To celebrate the launch, the book is debuting on Alfred Melrose Place’s patio.
Boujee Bulldogs has partnered with spcaLA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles), a portion of all Here Comes Polly book sales will benefit the organization’s lifesaving programs for animals in need. spcaLA will be in attendance from 10am to 12pm with an adorable Ambassador Dog available for adoption and Boujee Bulldogs will cover adoption fees for qualified adopters.
“Polly’s story is about friendship, adventure and learning to self-soothe during times of worry and fear,” said Maxwell Toretti, co-creator of Boujee Bulldogs and author of Here Comes Polly. “Partnering with spcaLA allows us to celebrate Polly’s legacy by helping other dogs find their forever homes — and by bringing awareness to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).”

Polly was a real-life boujee bulldog and the inspiration behind this story. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — sunshine, strolls, snuggles, mealtimes, and of course, treats. Though small in size, Polly had a larger-than-life personality (and ears to match). She left this world far too soon after developing Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), but her joyful spirit lives on through the pages of Here Comes Polly. This story is dedicated to her — and to all the little worriers out there.
