Home for the 4th!

$20 pet adoption fees at all spcaLA pet adoption centers in advance of July 4th

Los Angeles, CA (6/27/19) – Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is offering $20 pet adoption fees for qualified adopters this Saturday and Sunday, June 29th and 30th. Home for the 4th is available at the spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center, spcaLA PD Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center, and Long Beach Animal Care Services.

More pets come into the shelter over July 4th than any other time of year. spcaLA is hoping the pet adoption special will encourage people to adopt, but also make room in the shelter for pets who go missing when frightened during Independence Day fireworks celebrations.

Pet owners should make sure pets are properly identified with a collar and tags as well as a microchip, and that all the information is correct. Keep pets inside during fireworks displays to prevent them from running away. For a full list of July 4th Pet Tips, click here.
