Los Angeles, CA — Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is hosting the annual HOWL-o-Ween Spooktacular at the spcaLA Marketplace in Long Beach on Saturday, October 24th from 11am to 3pm at 7700 E Spring St, Long Beach (in El Dorado Park). The Spooktacular features paw painting, trick or treating, and a doggie costume contest judged by 100.3FM The Sound’s Chick on the Street, Katie Thompson.

Costume contest participants are encouraged to register online at www.spcaLA.com as space is limited. Participants will compete for fabulous prizes in categories: Best Duo, Funniest, Best Homemade, Best Duo, Most Original, and Best in Show. The HOWL-o-ween Spooktacular is chock-full of FREE fun:

• Tricks Contest: Show us your dog’s best or dastardly trick!
• Trick or Treat with your pet in the Village.
• Bobbing for apples.
• Agility demo: Let your dog play on the equipment! 11am-1pm.
• FitPAWS® Demo: Like Pilates for dogs! 11am-1pm.
• Paw Painting.
• Vendor Giveaways from Blue Buffalo™ Pet Food, Pinnacle™, Vetricyn, and My Perfect Pet.
• Musical entertainment provided by 100.3FM The Sound.

Costume contest begins at 1pm. Participants may register in person until 12:30pm day of. $10 entry fee. All participants receive goodie bag. All dogs must be leashed with current rabies vaccines.
