spcaLA has a rich history as a leader in animal sheltering and violence prevention. spcaLA provides care to victims of animal cruelty, lost and surrendered animals, as well as the pets of domestic violence survivors and other community members in crisis.
spcaLA is the only animal welfare organization in Los Angeles with an Animal Cruelty Investigations unit. Programs and services facilitated by spcaLA strive to disrupt the cycle of violence in our community, including the Animal Safety Net (ASN)™️, Youth Diversion Program, Teaching Love and Compassion (TLC)™️, the Disaster Animal Response Team (DART)™️, and more that serve the people of Southern California and beyond.
